A10 - Regulation of prostanoid receptor signaling by orphan GPCRs of the GPRC5 family
Aim of this project is to characterize the interaction between prostanoid receptors and members of the GPCR family GPRC5. In the first part of the project, we plan to investigate whether GPRC5B/C modulate prostacyclin receptor function in the context of cardiac fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, or immune function. In the second part, we will determine whether GPRC5B/C also modulate other prostanoid receptors, and if so, what the functional consequences of this interaction are. In the third part of the project, we will explore different strategies that may allow therapeutic modulation of the interaction between the GPRC5 family and prostanoid receptors.
